3. Serena Williams. Well done to Serena for her many honours in 2012. Along with Fed, she's elderly for a tennis pro. Mighty Serena returned from serious illness to win the top gongs. Although not number one, she has shown with pin-sharp clarity who is the boss on the WTA. Far superior to the rest of the pack when she really wants it.
2. Andy Murray. Good work winning a slam. Lendl appears to have sorted his mind demons which leaves him in a good position to win more. Perhaps now he could develop a personality.
